Almost three weeks into our trip and behold, we reach Cezanne's mountain (aka, Mont Saint-Victoire).
We left Montpellier for Aix-en-Provence, staying in Bouc-Bel-Air which is between Provence and the south coastal town of Marseille. The way to get around without a car is just a bus through the country. Saint-Victoire was one beautiful bus ride away and made for a nice easy short hike along the side of the mountain.
If you had the time and energy and resources, you could find your way hiking along the top ridge to reach this cross at the top.
Or just paraglide alongside.
Another day we took a bus down to the port French Mediterranean town of Marseille. After some walking around the harbor and having the best strawberry ice cream, we hopped on a boat to see the calanques.

End of day I found myself laying out on a warm beach... around 5 in the afternoon... before heading back to Bel Air.
